Ground floor
There are four reception rooms on the ground floor:
Dining Room – A lofty room (19 by 24 ft) with oak panelling, shuttered windows, window seats and original pothanger in open fireplace. Seats thirty in comfort on two tables, with third table from the Banqueting Hall seats forty plus.
Banqueting Hall – The great hall (21 by 34 ft) seats eighty five. The carved oak passage screen, removed in 1898, and the huge open fireplace have been restored. (Pool and table tennis tables)
Oak Room – An oak panelled gem with open fireplace and charming plasterwork ceiling. (Piano)
Nursery – Now furnished as a sitting room. Can be used as a bedroom for those unable to manage the stairs. (TV)
First floor
Long Drawing Room – An exquisite 17th century masterpiece (21 by 33 ft) with glorious views of the surrounding countryside. A room for concerts and celebrations . . . and many have been held here over the years. Huge open fireplace. (Grand piano)
